Irem is a filmmaker and freelance post-production specialist splitting time between Washington, DC and wherever the work or the wind takes her.

Born and raised in Istanbul, her work is shaped by a love of absurdity, visual impact, and narrative restraint—drawing influence from filmmakers like Yorgos Lanthimos, Alfonso Cuarón, and Celine Song. By day, she directs multimedia strategy for executive audiences, managing team-driven projects across video, podcasts, and editorial content. By night (and weekends, and most evenings), she co-runs Snack Night, a production company specializing in music videos, narrative films, and documentaries with bold color and cinematic texture.

Irem works across the full post-production pipeline—editing, color grading, VFX, sound design—moving between DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and whatever else needs to run simultaneously when a good idea strikes. She has a screenshot graveyard that is impossible to navigate on her desktop but is meticulous with project files. When she's not editing, she's either regretting the latest DIY project she somehow found herself in the middle of, or binge watching music videos.
